HELP Foundation has been working in the field since last two decades for
the upliftment of marginalized and underprivileged class of the society.In
this regard HELP Foundation has started the project EYEWAY HELP DESK
for the visually impaired persons.Mr.Muzamil Hussain the counsellor at
EYEWAY HELP Desk receives the calls from all over India and provide the
best possible solution for their problems.
World White Cane Day is celebrated annually on October 15th to raise
awareness about the courtesy rules of blindness and to promote
accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities. Learn how to
interact with blind people in a respectful and inclusive way, and how to
support their independence and mobility.The day is set aside to celebrate
the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired and the
important symbol of blindness and tool of independence ,the white cane.
HELP Foundation recently organized The international White cane Day
On 15th october 2023 .The event was held at Dal gate,Gath no 1 it was a
significant gathering that carried great importance.The event commenced
at approximately 10:55 am and it served as a platform to raise awareness
and promote safety for individuals with visual impairments.
On the day of event Mr.Muzamil along with senior dignitary Mr. Shaiq
Nazir from the HELP Foundation reached the venue for the event and the
total number of 20-22 participants took part in the march .The day before
the event Mr Muzamil visited the said venue to survey the area for any
potential barriers and to access the availability of other facilities in the
vicinity.
The event was successful and is a good learning experience for such
future events. The International White Cane Safety Day event served as a
powerful platform for advocacy, unity, support and integration for the
visually impaired community In the society.
